I have not been to Andiamo for close on 2 years reason being that having gone there every 2/3 months for about 3 years we were greeted with ”do you have a booking?” which ended the warm welcome. Would it be too much to ask for just a glimmer of recognition that you were a regular customer?
The young staff are great but the owners assuming they are they owners, are a pair of dour characters...they fawn over high spending customers that obviously weigh them in with big tips but unless you spend a wad on a regular basis they don’t appear to give a toss.
Visited about 3 months ago ending our self imposed exile for the obvious reasons. The welcome and atmosphere?.... I feel someone has been taking note of my comments and the visit to the charm school has improved things however it could easily be better. On this visit the food let it down with one dish that was meant for another table being delivered to us and a salsicca pizza that was ok but it wasn't crumbled sausage as it was in previous visits instead sliced Italian sausage..........on the menu its crumbled so marks off for the experience overall. They have had a tart up in my absence up which is a big improvement on the old styling.....(it did have the worst furniture of any restaurant in Glasgow) however that's now gone. Still lots of scope for improvement scores a 6.5
